HOW TO USE
How to use the tools
Five tools, five quick workflows. Open the one you need.
How do I use the recipe scaler?+
- 1
Paste your ingredients
One ingredient per line, quantity first. "1 1/2 cups flour" and "3 to 4 eggs" both parse correctly, including the range.
- 2
Pick a scaling mode
Choose "By multiplier" and enter a number (2 to double, 0.5 to halve), or choose "By servings" and enter your original and desired servings.
- 3
Read the scaled list
Every quantity updates, rounded to a fraction you can measure with, such as eighths and thirds, instead of a decimal like 1.583.
- 4
Save or share it
Use the shareable link to bookmark the conversion or send it to someone else. Nothing is stored on a server.
How do I use the unit converter?+
- 1
Choose your ingredient
Pick from the ingredient list so the converter uses that ingredient's real density instead of a flat multiplier.
- 2
Enter the amount and unit
Type the quantity and select cups, tablespoons, teaspoons, grams, kilograms, ounces, or pounds.
- 3
Pick the unit to convert to
Select the target unit. The result updates immediately based on that ingredient's density.
- 4
Swap direction if needed
Use the swap button to flip which unit is the source and which is the target.
How do I use the oven temperature converter?+
- 1
Enter a temperature
Type a value into any one field: Fahrenheit, Celsius, or gas mark.
- 2
Read the other two
The remaining fields update automatically. Gas mark uses the standardized UK table, so gas mark 4 shows as 180°C.
- 3
Check the fan adjustment
If your oven is fan-assisted, use the fan/convection figure, which is 20°C or 25°F lower than the conventional setting shown.
How do I use the recipe calorie counter?+
- 1
Add each ingredient
Use "Add ingredient" and pick from the list for every ingredient in your recipe, rather than typing free text.
- 2
Enter the amount and unit
Type the quantity you actually used and pick its unit: cups, grams, ounces, or another supported unit.
- 3
Set your servings
Enter how many servings the recipe makes. The calculator divides the recipe total to show calories and macros per serving.
- 4
Check the full breakdown
Open "Full recipe totals and per-ingredient breakdown" to see exactly which ingredient contributes what, for the whole recipe.
How do I use the pan size guide?+
- 1
Calibrate your screen
Click the gear icon in the header and choose Auto-detect, Diagonal, or Card. Card, matching a real card to an on-screen box, is the most accurate.
- 2
Save the calibration
Click Save. It's stored on this device, so you only need to do this once per screen.
- 3
Compare a real pan
Open the pan size guide and hold your actual pan up to the on-screen circles to see which size it matches.
