Recipe and conversion data

Every conversion runs in your browser using JavaScript. Ingredient lists, quantities, and any text you paste into a tool are processed on your device and are not sent to our servers, stored in a database, or shared with any third party. There's no account to create, so we don't hold a profile of your activity.

A few preferences, like dark mode and the pan size guide's screen calibration, are saved using your browser's local storage so they persist between visits. That data stays on your device; it's never transmitted anywhere and you can clear it any time by clearing your browser's site data for this domain.

Shareable links

When you generate a shareable link for a converted recipe, the conversion details are encoded in the URL itself, not stored on a server. Anyone with that link can view the conversion it contains, so avoid sharing a link if the recipe text includes information you'd rather keep private.

Server and hosting logs

Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically logs standard technical information for security and reliability, such as IP address, browser type, and the page requested. These logs are not used to identify individual visitors and are not combined with anything you type into the conversion tools.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses Google Analytics (Google tag / gtag.js) to understand traffic, such as which pages are visited and roughly how many people use each tool. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects information like your approximate location, device and browser type, and pages viewed. It does not receive the recipe text or quantities you type into a conversion tool, since those never leave your browser.
